General Hotel Information
Where are you located? Are you on the ocean? Schooner’s Cove Inn is one of the few oceanfront hotels in the heart of Cannon Beach. The hotel is right on the beach and in the center of town close to restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries, and shopping.
What are your office hours? The office is open 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. each day.
Is someone available after office hours? If you have an urgent need or an emergency after hours, there is always a staff member available to assist. Dial 0 from your room or call 503-436-2300 to reach an employee after hours.
What are your check-in and check-out times? Check-in is at 4 p.m. and Check-out is 11 a.m. The hotel office closes at 10 p.m. If you are going to arrive after 10 p.m., please call us at 503-436-2300 to make arrangements.
Do you provide daily housekeeping service? The quality of your stay will be ensured by our fine staff. Daily housekeeping service is available 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. We are always happy to deliver fresh towels and additional amenities as needed during your stay.
Do you offer breakfast? We do not offer breakfast onsite, but there are a variety of wonderful breakfast spots, bakeries, and coffee shops within a few blocks of the hotel. We have coffee, hot water, and tea available all day. In the morning we have breakfast bars if you need a quick snack and in the evening there’s always cookies and taffy.
Is parking available? Complimentary parking is available onsite for hotel guests. Guests may have one car per room, except those staying in Family Suites are allowed two cars.
Do you have a hot tub? We have an indoor, oceanfront hot tub that is available by reservation for a 30-minute time slot.
Are the beachfront lawn and BBQ’s available to all guests? Yes, the lawn and BBQ’s are available to all hotel guests. The BBQs are available seasonally on a first come first serve basis.
Do you have beach blankets and beach toys? Yes, we have beach blankets, a collection of beach toys for guests to borrow.
Reservations and Policies
How old do you need to be to reserve a room? To reserve a hotel room guests must be 21 years old.
Do you need a credit card to reserve a room? Is the card charged at the time of reservation? All reservations require a credit card to guarantee. The card is held and isn’t charged until your day of arrival.
What is your cancellation policy? We require 7 days’ notice September – May, and 14 days’ notice June – Labor Day. If the cancellation is made with less than the notice required, we will charge for the first night of the stay.
Do you have any specials or packages? We have both. We offer specials and discounts in the off season. Sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know – Stay In the Know. Rooms and Suites
Is your property non-smoking? Yes, all of our rooms, decks and common areas are non-smoking. Guests will be charged a $200 fee if they smoke on the property.
Do your rooms have balconies? All our oceanfront rooms feature balconies with two chairs and a small table—perfect for watching the waves roll in and enjoying the sound of the ocean.
Do your rooms have kitchens? All of our rooms have kitchenettes with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and utensils. The kitchens in the suites also include a cooktop, and pots and pans.
Do you provide coffee in the rooms? All of the rooms include complimentary coffee from a local company, Left Coast Coffee. One coffee packet is provided daily. It will make a full-sized pot of coffee. Decaf packets are available.
Visiting Cannon Beach
Can you visit the tide pools around Haystack Rock? Responsible tide pooling and viewing is encouraged. Climbing on the rocks or collecting sea life is prohibited.
Are fires allowed on the beach? Fires are permitted on Oregon beaches. All fires must abide by the Oregon Coast state parks guidelines – Oregon Shore State Recreation Area. During very dry periods fires may be banned.
What do I do in the event of a Tsunami? In the event of a tsunami, move to higher ground. Follow the posted tsunami evacuation signs.
